Can I take my foundation on the plane?

Each container of liquids, aerosols or gels in your carry-on baggage must be 100 millilitres or less. All the containers must be sealed in a transparent, one-litre plastic bag. You are only allowed one bag. Any resealable bag of one litre capacity or less is allowed.

Any electrical items need to have enough charge for you to turn them on. Lithium batteries must be carried in your hand luggage (this usually means your phone and your laptop). You can also take hairdryers or straighteners, electric shavers, travel irons and e-cigarettes in your carry-on luggage.

Items that you can have in your hold baggage but not in your hand baggage include: Liquids, creams, gels and pastes in containers over 100ml. Sharp items including scissors. Razor blades (razors that have the blade set into a plastic moulding are allowed in hand baggage, but other types are not)

Liquids. Most of us know that you can’t take liquids in your hand luggage. This includes items such as mascara and lip-gloss, soup, jam and honey. That said, liquids of 100ml or less will be permitted, but have to be in a single, transparent and re-sealable plastic bag.

Aerosols and roll on deodorants are classed as liquids, so any containers larger than 100ml will need to go in your luggage in the hold. Containers smaller than 100ml are accepted. Can I take aftershave or perfume in hand luggage? If the bottle is less than 100ml, then yes, as long as it is in a clear plastic bag.

Do not pack you portable charger (power pack) in hold luggage: Taking your portable phone charger (power pack) on a plane is fine, but just remember to pack it in your hand luggage. Do not put them in your hold luggage as this is not permitted and could result in your luggage not being loaded.

The main piece of luggage must not weigh more than 10kg and cannot exceed the Ryanair baggage allowance size which is: maximum dimensions 55 x 40 x 20 cm. The second item, which can include a handbag, briefcase, laptop, camera, shop purchases, etc. must not be larger than 35 x 20 x 20cm.

Non-Liquid Cosmetics. Other types of non-liquid makeup, such as lipstick, powders and blushes, are allowed in your carry-on with no limits. You may also carry on solid lip balms with no restrictions; however, gel lip balms are subject to the rules for carrying on liquids.

Ryanair checked baggage fees start from £20/€20 in low season and £30/€30 in high season for 15kg, if you purchase when you book your flight. This allows you up to two bags, and higher fees apply if you change your booking or pay at the airport. The 20kg allowance starts from £30/€30.

Baggage fees are assessed per one-way flight. For Blue fares, the first checked bag fee is $25 and the second checked bag is $35. For Blue Plus fares, one (1) checked bag is included and the second checked bag fee is $35. For Blue Flex fares, two (2) checked bags are included.

Ryanair Checked Baggage. Passengers can check in two bags at either 15kg or 20kg, which you can choose from during booking. Dimensions must not exceed 81cm x 119cm x 119 cm. Checked bags are charged per person, per one way flight and prices vary depending on the route and travel dates.

Liquids and Gels. You may only carry on liquids and gels that are in 3.4-ounce containers or smaller. Liquids include toiletries such as shampoo, after-shave, hand or body lotion, mouthwash and liquid makeup. Toiletries often found in gel form include toothpaste, deodorant and lip balm or lipstick.

To be on the safe side, stick to the rule: all liquids must be in containers of no more than 3.4 ounces or 100ml, and all containers must fit in a clear, one quart sized zip top plastic bag. You can still travel carry-on only with liquids. A 100ml bottle of shampoo just lasted me approximately 40 showers.

Stick deodorant is fine in any size. Well, almost any size… Powders and crystals are good to go as well. Spray, Gel, Liquid, Cream, Pastes, and Roll-On deodorants need to be in containers no larger than 3.4 ounces and placed in a clear quart-sized baggie.

Turns out there’s no real reason for all the liquid paranoia. According to the TSA, most makeup has been pretty much kosher since 2010: Powder makeup is fine. Common-size facial cosmetic and medicinal products in a tube, for example mascara, lip gloss, and lip balm, are not required to be placed in the one-quart bag.
