Can I use Google contacts in Outlook?

If not, then let’s next make sure you have set to sync your Contacts to your Gmail account and not your phone:

Make sure that you have Gmail installed on your device.

Go to Settings, then go to ‘Accounts and Sync’.

Turn off auto-sync

Sync Gmail to Outlook

Log in to your Google Gmail account (link in Resources).

Click “Contacts” and then click “More Actions.”

Click on “Export” and then choose the contact group you want to export.

Choose “Outlook CSV” for the file format and then click “Export.”

Save the file to a location on your computer.

Step 2: Import your contacts to Outlook

At the top of your Outlook ribbon, choose File.

Browse to the .csv file you want to import.

Go to Settings > Accounts – Google > Tap on your account > . Now select the checkbox for Contacts and see what is the last synced date and time shown below.

Now login to your Google account and go to Google contacts. You will be able to see all the synced contacts.

Import Gmail contacts to Outlook 2013 or 2016

Choose File > Open & Export > Import/Export.

Choose Import from another program or file > Next.

Choose Comma Separated Values > Next.

In the Import a File box, browse to choose the .csv file you saved your Gmail contacts to.
